Plastic pollution

Australia produces 130kg of plastic per person each year—that’s 3.25 metric tons a year.  Majority of them are plastic bags, plastic plates/cups and water bottles. Only 12% of that is recycled. Others end up being dumped into waterways and oceans. They have started entering into our food chain and onto our plates.  Plastic pollution is predicted to double by 2030 if interventions are not made. With China stopping out garbage import for recycling; Australia is facing an uphill task to quickly act and find a lasting solution for plastic waste before it becomes uncontrollable. Every citizen has a role to play in cleaning our plastic waste by consciously reducing the use of single-use plastics in our everyday life. It’s time to opt for recyclable, environment friendly and biodegradable alternatives.

Our proposition

We are a team of dynamic very conscious of plastic waste and its tremendous impact on environmental pollution and climate change in Australia. We are equally concerned about the hazards created by plastic pollution to human, animal and ecological health. We have seen and read stories of sea animals, birds and land animals with plastics ending up in their body. We as human created the problem but our friends in nature are victims. And we ourselves are. Projects and policies from governments are not enough to counter this growing threat.  It is the duty of every citizen of this country to act at individual level.  It’s the responsibility of all organisations and governments to ensure we collectively engage in a mission to reduce plastic waste. We are already in action towards this end. We welcome you to join hands in this noble mission.
